Standard Insurance
All Rent-a-Dent vehicles have insurance cover. Many vehicles in New Zealand do not have insurance so it makes good sense at Rent-a-Dent to have all rental vehicles insured. For this reason we include vehicle insurance in all rates quoted. This is referred to as our standard insurance cover.
Provided the "Rental Terms and Conditions" and use of the vehicle is complied with by the hirer (and the listed drivers) a standard Insurance excess applies to all drivers.
Hire Criteria
Here at Rent-a-Dent Dunedin, we are able to offer something special to drivers that are under 25years of age.
However for us to be able to do this, all hirers must be at least 21 years of age or older and supplies a credit card. Then all drivers 18 years and over can drive the vehicle providing we have their drivers licence details.
If a credit card can not be supplied, we must then have a cash bond to be paid upfront plus the hire amount. The cash bond is equal to the insurance excess.

License Criteria
All drivers to have held a full license for a minimum of 1 year. International Licenses are also accepted.
CDR (Collision Damage Reduction) or known as Excess Reduction
CDR can be purchased as an optional extra to reduce the applicable insurance excess. (as shown above)
CDR is offered at the time of pickup and prior to the hire commencing.
In the event of an accident, a claim form must be completed by the hirer (or the listed additional driver) and handed in to the Rent-a-Dent branch.
