Baldwin Street is the world's steepest street and is situated off North Road in North East Valley, Dunedin.
Baldwin Street is so steep that people are advised not to take their cars up as there is no turning at the top.
Instead you are encouraged to walk to the top and down again, taking about 10 minutes.
Each Summer the 'Baldwin Street Gutbuster' is held. A race from the botttom to the top then down again.
In July over 1,000 individually sponsored 'Jaffas' are rolled down the street.
The winner receives a prize and funds are raise for charity.
